Senator DiDomenico Elected National Delegate for Hillary Clinton

Senator Sal DiDomenico was elected as a National Delegate for Hillary Clinton this past weekend at the 7th Congressional Caucus held at Boston University.

DiDomenico will be attending the Democratic National Convention, which will be held in Philadelphia in July. More than 100 supporters traveled to Boston University to support DiDomenico and the Team Walsh slate he was running on. DiDomenico was elected with Suffolk County Sheriff Steve Tompkins, Senator Linda Dorcena Forry and Boston Councilor Ayanna Pressley.

Congressman Mike Capuano chaired the caucus and it was a great day for Clinton supporters.

“To be elected as a National Delegate for Hillary Clinton is a tremendous honor,” stated DiDomenico. “I want to thank my many friends who voted for me at the caucus and it was a pleasure to work with Team Walsh to get our slate elected. I look forward to travelling to Philadelphia and casting my vote for Hillary Clinton as our Democratic nominee.”

Sen. DiDomenico will be attending the weeklong Democratic Convention where Democrats will officially nominate the Democratic candidate who will move onto the General Election. DiDomenico will be representing Democrats in Congressman Mike Capuano’s district.

This is the first time in several decades that someone from Everett has been elected to go the National Convention.
