An Everett man was struck and killed by a car late Wednesday evening, November 14, allegedly by a driver traveling southbound on Broadway, heading toward the city, near the 100 block of Broadway.
According to a report, the accident was called into police just before midnight on Wednesday. The driver in the accident remained at the scene and was cooperating with police in the investigation. Reports indicate that he did not appear to be impaired at the time of the accident.
The State Police Accident Reconstruction Team was called to the scene by Everett police and the State Police and Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone’s office are heading the investigation.
As of Monday night, no charges had been filed against the driver, pending the outcome of the accident reconstruction and no official statement had been made about the accident.
It is believed that the victim was a worker in the nearby Produce center, who may have been traveling home from work at the time he was struck.
