Maeve Kernan, Katie Steeves, and Daryl Colson captured first place in their respective events for the Everett High girls track team in their meet with Malden last week.
Kernan won the two mile run in a time of 13:05.3; Steeves sped to victory in the 200 meter dash in 29.8; and Colson topped the field in the discus with a toss of 82-2.
Katie Steeves also took second place in the long jump with her leap of 12-2. Ramona Clarke took second in the 100 meter dash in 14.0 and Sashae Walls grabbed second in the 400 meter dash in 1:06.3.
Third place efforts were turned in by Amber Whitney in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:38.8; Jessica Mangan in the two mile in 14:44.2; Emila Ponikiewski in the 800 in 3:06.3; and Tiara Perez in the mile in 7:12.5.
Other fine performances for Everett were recorded by Serina Welch-Shull in the 400 in 1:07.5; Walls with a high jump of 4-8; and Jackie Steeves with a javelin toss of 53-9.
The Everett girls were set to compete in the Somerville Invitational yesterday morning (Tuesday) at Somerville. The GBL freshman/sophomore meet is scheduled for tomorrow at Cambridge.
