City Council Honors Undefeated Professional Boxer Shea Willcox

The Everett City Council honored professional boxer Shea Willcox, whose career is off to a sensational start following a sixth consecutive victory on Feb. 14 in Medford.

Ward 3 Councilor Anthony DiPerro noted Shea’s upbringing in Everett where he was a standout safety and running back for the Division 1 Super Bowl champion Crimson Tide. DiPierro also highlighted the athletic excellence of Shea’s brother, Jake Willcox, who was a star quarterback at Everett High, Milton Academy, and Brown University.

Shea is the son of Dennis Willcox and Kelly Willcox. Dennis Wilcox and Joe Ricciardi are the training and management team for the rising boxing star known as “Showtime” Shea Willcox.

Shea will be returning to the ring April 10 at The Great American Beer Hall in Medford.

In brief remarks, Shea humbly thanked the City Council for the esteemed recognition and said he was honored to represent the City of Everett in his boxing career.
