Antonio Florindi
Retired Everett Tailor and Business Owner
Antonio Florinidi of Millis, formerly of Everett, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 2, in his home at the age of 86.
Born in the town of Citta Sant’ Angelo in Abruzzo, Italy he was the son of the late Gabriele and Ida (Muffo) Florindi.
He migrated to the United States in 1965 to work as a tailor in many different clothing factories. But once he was settled in Everett, he owned and operated Tony the Tailor from 1971 to 1974; Tony’s Clothing from 1974 to 1985 and Florindi Fashions from 1985 until his retirement in 2001. He was a meticulous, driven, and detailed business owner and took pride in all aspects of his work.
Antonio loved to travel with his wife to the beaches of Aruba and Turks & Caicos, as well as visit his family in Italy. He was an avid soccer fan and enjoyed watching and listening to the Inter Milan Soccer games, especially with his friends.
Antonio is survived by his beloved wife of over 54 years, Filomena (Carota) Florindi, his son Anthony Florindi and his wife, Sandra of Norfolk and his grandchildren, Olivia and Marcus Florindi. He is also survived by his brother Enrico Florindi and his wife, Pasqualina, his sisters, Leda Florindi and her husband, Ferruccio and Enza Florindi, as well as many nieces and nephews, all in Italy. He will also be missed by the many longtime friends, neighbors, and customers he made in the 49 years he lived and worked in Everett.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Antonio’s life on Friday, May 10th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 38 Oakes Street, Everett. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Versailles Mausoleum. The family will welcome visitors ayto Cafasso & Sons, 65 Clark Street, (Corner of Main Street), Everett, on Thursday, May 9th from 4 to 7 p.m. Parking with attendants on duty.

Ruth Lang
Retiree of Everett City Clerk’s Office
Ruth E. Lang of Everett entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 2 in the Light House Nursing Center in Revere after being in declining health. She was 103 years old.
Born in Medford, Ruth lived in Everett for most of her life. She worked for the City of Everett in the City Clerk’s Office and retired after 30 plus years of dedicated service.
She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lillian Cecelia (White) Waterfall; beloved mother of Daniel S. Carlin and his wife, Geraldine of Brewster, Barbara M. Carlin of Malden and Patricia J. Rogers and her husband, Thomas of Everett.; sister of the late Herbert Waterfall; loving Gram of Brendan Carlin, Bryan Carlin, Justin Carlin and Katy Rogers and loving great grandmother of eight.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ruth’s visitation in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) Everett today, Wednesday, May 8 at 10 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett at 11 a.m. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ruth’s memory to Compassus Hospice, 790 Turnpike St., #202, North Andover, MA 01845 would be sincerely appreciated.
