Genevieve Sordillo
Retired Parish Secretary at St. Anthony’s Church
Genevieve L. “Gen” (Boudreau) Sordillo of Everett entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 3 in the Katzman Family Center for Living in Chelsea. She was 97 years old.
Gen was born in Everett and remained a lifelong resident. She worked for many years as the Parish Secretary for St. Anthony’s Church in Everett and following her retirement remained active at the church — singing in the choir and participating in other church related activities.
The beloved wife of the late Ernest C. for over 69 years, she was the dear and devoted mother of Ernest P. Sordillo and his wife, Kelly Doherty of Everett; sister of the late Benny, Edward and Freeman Boudreau, Rita Calkins and Marie Marchant; loving “ Nana ” of Marissa Sordillo Gunn and her husband, Timothy and Gregory Sordillo and “Great-Nana” of Giacobe and Naomi Gunn.
Relatives and friends attended Gen’s visitation in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) Everett on Friday, July 7 followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, 38 Oakes St., Everett. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Contributions in Genevieve’s memory to the Katzman Family Center for Living, 17 Lafayette Ave., Chelsea, MA 02150 would be sincerely appreciated.
