Boys, Girls Basketball Teams Ready to Open 2022 Season

The Everett High boys and girls and basketball teams will open their 2022 season this coming week.

Boys head coach Stanley Chamblain and his squad will undertake an ambitious, 22-game schedule starting with their season-opener at Cambridge this Friday evening.

The Crimson Tide then will host Greater Boston League (GBL) foe Revere in their home opener next Tuesday (December 14) with a 7:00 tip-off.

In addition to playing each of their seven GBL foes (Revere, Chelsea, Lynn Classical, Lynn English, Medford, Malden, and Somerville) twice each, the Everett boys will take on eight non-league opponents — Cambridge, No. Quincy, Tech Boston, Brockton, and two opponents in two holiday tournaments.

On the girls’ side, coach Riley Dunn, who led the Lady Patriots to a Greater Boston League playoff title in the abbreviated 2021 spring season in her first season at the helm of the girls program, will take her squad to Revere for the season-opener on Tuesday.

The EHS girls also will play their seven GBL foes twice each and will meet non-league opponents Arlington, Dracut, and Malden Catholic twice each to complete their 20-game schedule.
