The city election is set for this Tuesday, November 2, with the main event being the contest for mayor between incumbent Carlo DeMaria and Ward 1 City Councilor Fred Capone.
Although the two candidates do not differ substantially on the major issues, they have presented very different visions of how they intend to govern, both in style and in substance, for the voters’ consideration.
In addition, voters also will have decisions to make in the contests for the City Council-at-Large, Ward Council, School Committee-at-Large, and Ward School Committee seats.
There is a lot on the line for every Everett resident in the outcome of this election. The future direction of our city will be determined by the choices we make on Tuesday.
We urge all of our readers who are eligible voters to get out and vote.
