Sheard, Jules,

Shilling ford win

for EHS boys track

The Everett High boys indoor track & field team received superb performances from Mario Sheard, Clarence Jules, and Mac Shillingford in the Crimson Tide’s meet at Revere last week.

Sheard handily won the shot put with a toss of 41’-11”; Jules sped to victory in the 50 yard dash in 5.7; and Shillingford sprinted to a win in the 300 in 40.5.

Javier Chavez scored three points for the Everett cause with a second-place effort in the shot put with a throw of 37’-5”.

Arthur Rose grabbed third place in the mile in 5:39.4 and Tyrese Baptiste took third spot in the 50 dash in 5.9.

Shillingford added 1/2 a point with a high jump of 5’-4” that tied for third place.

Seide, Chapparo

win for girls track

Lucia Seide and Victoria Chaparro sprinted to first place victories for the Everett High girls indoor track team in last week’s meet at Revere.

Lucia outraced the field in the 50 yard dash in a time of 6.6 seconds and Victoria sped to victory in the 300 dash in 47.9

Sthefany Luna grabbed a second place finish in the mile with a time of 6:54.4;  Rothsaida Sylvaine took second in the two-mile run with a time of 16:24; Cyara Lambert added three points to the Everett scoresheet with her second-place finish in the 300 in 51.3; and Jessica Santos scored three points with her second place sprint in the 50 dash in 6.7.

Adding single points to the Everett total were Olivia Marino in the high jump with a leap of 4’-2”; Lyane Murphy in the 50 hurdles in 9.6; and Diana Lemus in the 1000 in 4:06.

 

EHS hockey team

wins two contests

The Everett High hockey team got into the win column with a pair of impressive victories this week over East Boston. The Crimson Tide won the first game of the home-and-home series last Wednesday at Allied Veterans Rink, 10-1, and then won the rematch by a nearly-identical score of 10-2 on Saturday at Lieut. Porazzo Memorial Rink in East Boston.

Coach Alex Naumann’s squad is set to travel to Somerville this evening (Wednesday) and will host O’Bryant High Saturday afternoon at 1:00 at Allied Veterans.
