Election on September 8

While the Big One — the election of our next President of the United States is in November — there is an important election Thursday (note the different day for an election than the usual Tuesday), Sept. 8.

Rep. Joseph McGonagle is facing an active campaign from newcomer Gerly Adrien.  For the last several weeks, the Everett Independent has allowed both candidates a forum to tell the voters about their visions as Everett’s state representative.

Sen. Sal DiDomenico is running unopposed.

And in the county election, Governor’s Council incumbent Terrence Kennedy is facing opposition from Steve Borelli and Richard J. DiMeo.

In the Sheriff’s race incumbent Peter Koutoujian is being challenged by Barry Kelleher.

The weather is supposed to be good and we urge as many citizens as possible to get out and vote on Thursday.
