City Promotes Casellla to Captain and Appoints New Firefighters

Mayor Carlo DeMaria, and Chief David Butler, and City Clerk Michael Matarazzo swore in seven new firefighters to the Everett Fire Department Monday night. The new additions are Joshua Doyon, Donald Moloney, Richard Costanza, Wilson Jaramillo, Robinson Tran, John Gardner, and Seth McCullough.

“The Everett Fire Department is designed to identify firefighters who are intelligent, community- oriented, physically fit, and committed to maintaining and developing new skills,” states Mayor DeMaria, “These seven men will be valued and vital members and will have the opportunity to make a difference in our City.”

In addition, Robert Casella was honored in recognition of his promotion. Casella was appointed to the rank of Captain.

“Our Fire Department strives to deliver their best each and every day,” states Mayor DeMaria, “Robert is an excellent example of doing so, and this promotion is well deserved.”

Local officials, fellow Firefighters, family members and residents were in attendance to congratulate the men.
