In what is believed to be the first of many transformative projects on the Parkway, Everett officials announced this week they have received an application for a hotel on Revere Beach Parkway.
While there were no immediate specifics about the hotel project, it was described by those with knowledge of the project that it would be 100-plus rooms.
Mayor Carlo DeMaria said he and the Planning and Development Department have been reviewing the application and are excited to have the project submission.
“We have received plans and applications for a hotel to be located on Route 16 and are carefully reviewing them through the Department of Planning and Development,” the mayor said. “This project represents what we feel will be the first of many new and exciting economic development projects slated for Everett in the coming years. Projects like these are the direct result of the planning and hard work of my administration and I am excited to welcome them to the City of Everett.”
