Irene Sousa

Of Everett

Irene S. (Dwyer) Sousa of Everett entered into rest on July 11 in the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. She was 82 years old.

Born in Cambridge, Irene lived in Everett for most of her life.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony M. Sousa; dear and devoted mother of Anthony M. Sousa, Jr. and his wife, Carole of Everett, Donna M. Laaser and her husband, Hans of Danvers and Linda Potter and her husband, Harrison of Texas; sister of Joan Curtin of Melrose and the late Leo McLaughlin, Francis Dwyer and Patricia Angelo; loving “Gram” of Erica DiPietro and her husband, Nick, Jillian and Kayla Sousa and Jordan, Madison and Ashton Potter and loving great-grandma of Dylan and Tyler DiPietro.

Funeral arrangements were by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. A Funeral Mass was celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, Everett. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Irene’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 would be sincerely appreciated.

Alfred Bruzzese

Proprietor of AMA Transportation Company of Billerica

Alfred R. “Al” Bruzzese of Saugus, formerly of Revere, entered into rest on July 12 surrounded by his loving family in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was 55 years old.

Born in Boston, Al was a 1977 graduate of Revere High School and has lived in Saugus for many years. He was the proprietor of AMA Transportation Company, Billerica, MA.

He was the beloved husband of Robyn G. (Storella) Bruzzese of Everett; dear and devoted father of Dante A. Bruzzese of Saugus; loving son of Alfred and Ann Bruzzese, formerly of Revere; dear brother of Mark Bruzzese and his wife, Roberta and Anthony Bruzzese and his wife, Lisa of Wakefield. Also surviving are several loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Al’s Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, 250 Revere St. Revere, Saturday, July 19 at 11 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Al’s memory may be sent to the Kaplan Family Hospice House c/o Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923 would be sincerely appreciated. Arrangements are by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) Everett.
