Neil Tonelli, Jr.

US Postal Service Retiree of New York, formerly of Everett

Neil R. Tonelli Jr. of Clifton Park, NY passed away suddenly on February 13 at Ellis Hospital.

He was born on April 11, 1948 in Everett and was 64 years old. A veteran of the US Army, Neil retired from the US Postal Service in Boston. He was extremely devoted to his family, and cherished by all who knew him. He was a sports memorabilia collector and an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.

He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Russo and is survived by his wife, Georgianna M. Tonelli;  his children Nicole Chiarella and her husband, Anthony, Charmaine Catania and her husband, John, Tom Ellis and his wife, Adriana, and his brother, Tom Tonelli. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Joey, Tony and Lia.

Funeral arrangements were by the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., Clifton Park, NY. Burial was in Saratoga National Cemetery.

Dante Coscia

Retired Revere Teacher, Active in Revere Youth Hockey for 25 years

Dante G. Coscia of Revere died on February 14.

A US Army veteran of the Korean War, he retired in 1995 from teaching in Revere Public Schools. He received his Bachelor of Science from Fitchburg State, Master in Education from Boston State and was a member of the Graphic Arts International Local #300 and the Massachusetts Teachers Union. An active member of Revere youth hockey for 25 years, he was a member of the planning committee for the Revere High School “Class of 1946” reunions.

He was the beloved husband of Marie (Cavicchi); devoted father of Danae Cook and her husband, Peter of Indiana and Eugene and his wife, Catherine of Revere; loving grandfather of Danae  Dotolo and her partner, Kathleen Weber of Washington,  Joshua Dotolo and his wife, Jocelyn and great grandfather of Dominic and Isadora Dotolo of Arizona; dear brother of Robert and his wife, Frances, Carmella Coscia, Glida Coscia, Richard and his wife, Scarlett, all of Revere and the late Josephine Reppucci, Jennie Anzuoni, Joseph, Eugene, Phyllis Coscia,  Phillip, Anthony and Gloria Gazo. He was also the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, Revere.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Dante Coscia to Heart Center Patient Care at Massachusetts General Hospital. Elena Russo Davis

Blue Cross Retiree

Elena (Vacca) Russo Davis, a lifelong resident of Everett, died on February 12 at the Eastpointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelsea. She was 81 years old.

Born in Everett and a retired payroll clerk for Blue Cross-Blue Shield Insurance Company, she was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Russo and Larry L. Davis; dear and devoted mother of Stephanie DiPlatzi of Everett; sister of Yvonne Scarpaci of Everett; loving “Nana” of Jaime DiPlatzi of Everett  and sister-in-law of Theresa Tedeschi of Holbrook. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Contributions in her memory to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 720 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA, 02115 would be sincerely appreciated.  Elena’s family would like to thank all the staff at the Eastpointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the care and comfort that Elena received while in residence there.

Annmarie McLaughlin

Of Florida, formerly of Charlestown

Annmarie T. (McInnis) McLaughlin, an eight year resident of Pompano Beach, Florida, formerly of Charlestown, Everett and Derry, New Hampshire, passed into eternal life unexpectedly on January 13 at Broward Health North Hospital in Deerfield Beach, Florida. She was 69 years old.

Born in Boston on September 19, 1943, a daughter of the late Joseph McInnis and Helen (Gallivan) McInnis, she grew up in Charlestown and attended the Boston Public School system. She was a dedicated homemaker who took pride in caring for her husband and children and the upkeep of her home. Annmarie loved travel and listening to Irish music and was very involved with her shuffleboard teams in Everett and in Pompano Beach, Florida. She was the cherished wife of 52 years to Patrick J. McLaughlin; the devoted mother of Patrick J. McLaughlin Jr. and his wife, Sabrina of Saugus, Sharon Fiorentino and her husband, John of Litchfield, New Hampshire and Shaun McLaughlin and his wife, Tammy of Litchfield, New Hampshire;  the loving Nana to Patrick J. III, Bernadine, John IV, Nicholas, Dominique, Jennifer and Shaun Jr.;  the beloved sister of Jackie McInnis of Maryland, Michael McInnis of Malden, Helen Schaar of Barnstable, Kathleen Murphy of Derry, New Hampshire, Susan Matarazzo of Charlestown and the late Joseph McInnis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
