Irene Taschetta

Everett resident

Irene (Kulesa) Taschetta of Everett died on February 28.

She was the beloved wife of the late Guy Taschetta; sister of the late Julia Guliano and is survived by her nephew Edward Guliano and his wife, Carol and niece Arlene Mazochia and many great nieces and nephews.

Sister Mary Kenneth Andreotti

R.S.M.Religious, Formerly of Everett

Sister Mary Kenneth Andreotti, RSM of McAuley Convent, Barling, Arkansas died February 1. She was 84 years old.

She attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School and Everett High School before entering the Sisters of Mercy at St. Louis, MO in September of 1946. She made her first vows on August 12, 1949. She received her BA in Science at Incarnate Word University in San Antonio, Texas and taught at several schools in Missouri, Texas and Arkansas for 438 years from 1949 to 1992. She did Pastoral Care ministry at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith, AR from 1992 to 2001 and retired at McCauley Convent in July of 2001.  She is remember and loved by the Forst Smith Community for her kindness to the poor, the sick and the elderly and for 65 years of dedicated service.

She was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Alice Andreotti and first cousin of Joseph “Jay” and Dolores Andreotti. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and cousins as well as by her religious community.Burial was at Calvary Cemetery with arrangements by the Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.

Somerville resident

Ruth (McGovern) Zukowski of Somerville died on February 29.She was the beloved wife of Walter B. Zukowski, Sr. ; mother of Theresa McGlashing and her husband, James of Maine, Patricia McGlashing and her husband, John of Somerville, Walter Zukowski and his wife, Joanne of Tewksbury and Edward Zukowski and his wife, Virginia of Everett; daughter of the late Bernard and Margaret (Shallow) McGovern; grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of four; sister of Margaret Desjardin of Melrose, John McGovern of Somerville, Bernard McGovern and his wife, Mary Ellen of New Hampshire and the late Frederick McGovern, Jannette Kenney and Theresa Avakian.Funeral arrangements were by the Cota-Struzziero Funeral Home, Somerville. Salvatore ‘Sully’ Cirino

Retired Tool and Die Maker

Salvatore S. “Sully” Cirino of Tewksbury, formerly of Medford, the North End, and Everett, died on March 1. He was 85 years old.A retired Tool and Die Maker at J.W. Moore Co in Everett, he was the beloved husband for 60 years of Mary Jane (Marciante) Cirino who died in 2008; son of the late Stacio and Mary (Beradino) Cirino; devoted father of Greg and his wife, Patricia (Eller) Cirino of Windham, NH, Jeffrey and his wife, Eileen (Glynn) Cirino of Medford and Jane Barry of Beverly; loving grandfather of Allison Chisholm and her husband, Robby of Cambridge, Melissa Cirino of Medford, Jessica Lynn Barry and Richard Aron Barry, both of Dartmouth; proud great grandfather of Pheobe Chisholm and Jude Chisholm; brother of Jacqueline Diegle of California. Janice Richardson

Longtime Chelsea resident

Janice A. (Gretski) Richardson, a longtime Chelsea resident, died on March 4 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading following a long illness. She was 75 years old.

Born in Woburn, she was the devoted wife of William Richardson, Sr.; beloved mother of William Richardson, Jr. and his wife, Maria of Malden, Paul Richardson and his wife Donna, Ronald Richardson and his wife Joyce, all of Everett, Alec Richardson and his wife, Linda of Saugus, Thomas Richardson of Chelsea and Janis Richardson of Taunton; dear sister of Alec Gretski of New Hampshire and sister-in-law of James Richardson of Chelsea. She is also lovingly survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Caterina (Indaco) Moccia of Medford, formerly of Charlestown, died on March 3. She was 99 years old.

She was the beloved wife of the late Michele Moccia; daughter of the late Rafaele and Angela Indaco; devoted mother of Angelo Moccia and his wife, Viola of Florence, Italy, Carmella Ricca and her husband, Osvaldo of Medford, Vittorio Moccia and his wife, Rosa of Medford, Umberto Moccia and his wife, Janet of Everett, Maria Morgan and her husband, Richard of Billerica; dear stepmother of Adelia Carbone, Salvatore and Michele Moccia, all of Florence, Italy and the late Silvia Melchiono. She is also lovingly survived by 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ralph ‘Red’ Lucci

Member of Everett Elks

Ralph “Red” Lucci of Everett and Melrose died on February 29.

A US Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of Everett Lodge of Elks #642.He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline (Geer); father of Paul of Cambridge, William and his wife, Carla of Revere, Mark and his wife, Maria of Billerica, and the late Teresa; brother of Lillian Raymond of Salem and Naples, FL, Virginia Colbert of Melrose and the late Virginia Lucci. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Kaitlin, Joseph, Daniel and many nieces and nephews.

Edith DiCicco

Of North Andover, formerly of Everett

Edith M. (Mazzone) DiCicco of N. Andover, a former long time resident of Everett,  died on March 5 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a period of failing health. She was 96 years old..

A seamstress in the clothing industry, she was the beloved wife of the late Domenic N. DiCicco; dear and devoted sister of Madeline Mottola of Stoneham, Lucy Finos of Wakefield, Mary Starble of Bradford and the late Christine Tavano, Susan Barbo, Alphonse and Marino Mazzone.  She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Her Funeral will be held from the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) Everett on Friday morning at 9:30 followed by a   Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Grace Church, Nichols Street, Everett-Chelsea, at 10:30 a.m.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.   In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the charity of one’s choice, would be sincerely appreciated.

Rosa Martone

Saugus resident

Rosa (Santoro) Martone of Saugus died on February 27.

The beloved wife of the late Giovanni, she was the loving mother of Ralph A. Martone and his wife, Geraldine and Tony Martone and his wife, Patricia, all of Saugus; beloved sister of Nina Venafra and the late Antonetta, Michele and Samuel. She is survived by four loving grandchildren, John and his wife, Olga, Rosanna, Rosalba and Antonetta.
