Dianne McCabe

Food Service Cordinator

 

Dianne M. (Agresti) McCabe, a lifelong resident of Everett, died at home on February 28 surrounded by her loving family. She was 54 years old.

Born in Everett, she graduated from Everett High School and, for many years, she worked as a food service coordinator for Aramak Corporation. She was most recently assigned to the Madeline English School.

She was the beloved wife of James P. McCabe; the dear and devoted mother of James D. McCabe and Adele F. McCabe of Everett; daughter of the late David and Adele Agresti; loving sister of David Agresti of Revere, Carmine and Michelle Agresti of Saugus, Roman and Karen Agresti of Everett, Adrienne and James Curtis of Everett and Derek Agresti of Everett; dear daughter-in-law of Violet McCabe of Malden and sister-in-law of Bernice Coito of Everett, Elizabeth and Phil Kelly of Wilmington, Joseph and Joanne McCabe of Saugus, Gregory and Florence McCabe of Waltham, Margaret and Louis Goodman of Milton and John and Judy McCabe of Everett.

Her Funeral will be held from the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) Everett on Thursday morning at 9 followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Broadway, Everett, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are today, Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private. Elliott Scott

Lifelong Everett resident

 

Elliott M. Scott, a lifelong resident of Everett for 91 years, died on February 23.

He was the beloved husband of the late Florence (Marshall) Scott who died on January 22, 2011; the son of the late Clarence Frederick and Helen (Smith) Scott; loving father of Marilyn Scott of Peabody, Frederick Scott and his wife, Bobbi, of Moultonboro, NH, Robert Scott and his wife, Roberta, of Wakefield, Ronald Scott and his wife, Lisa, of Tarpon Springs, FL; loving grandfather of nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

William Maltais

Retired truck driver and businessman

 

William E. Maltais of Malden, formerly of Everett, died on February 25. He was 79 years old.

A US Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a retired truck driver for Hood and Metropolitan Petroleum and was the self-employed owner of a redemption center in Wakefield.

He was the former husband of the late Valma (Dwire) Maltais; beloved father of Priscilla D. Cooper and her husband, Steven, of Natick, William E. Maltais Jr. of New Hampshire, Jane E. McCormick of Beverly, James E. Maltais of Vermont, Michelle D. Roccia of Lynnfield, Richard C. Maltais and his wife, Faustina, of Saugus and Kenneth R. Maltais and his wife, Diane, of Billerica; dear brother of Robert Maltais of Maine and is also lovingly survived by 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Ava Maltais.

Dorothy Mullen

Retired Everett School Cafeteria Cashier, Past President of Our Lady of Grace Women’s Club

 

Dorothy E. (Haley) Mullen, a lifelong resident of Everett, died on February 21 at the Leonard Florence Center for Living in Chelsea. She was 91 years old.

A retired Everett School cafeteria cashier, she was a ormer member and past president of Our Lady of Grace Women’s Club.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Mullen; dear and devoted mother of Mary E. Tobin and her husband, Joseph, of Salisbury, Patricia A. Barry and her husband, Richard, of Everett and the late Stephen Mullen and his wife, Betsy, of Byfield; loving grandmother of Jason Mullen and his wife, Sarah, Moulton Mullen, Andrew Mullen, Evan Barry, Nolan Barry, Sarah Tobin and Brandon Tobin  and great-grandmother of Stephen Mullen; dear aunt of Maryanne Petti, Diane Petti, Patricia Rauseo and several nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her special cousins, Darlene, Paul and Lisa Morgan.

Patricia Bowman

15 Year Massport Employee

 

Patricia D. (Twomey) Bowman of Nashua, NH, formerly of Revere, died on February 25.

A Massport employee for 15 years, she was the beloved wife of Paul C. Bowman with whom she shared 42 years of marriage; loving mother of Kim Marie Naumann-Lehmann of Derry, NH, Frederick Naumann of Revere, Maureen Bowman of Nashua, NH and Joseph Bowman and his fiancée, Ann-Margaret Finn, both of Everett; dear sister of Margaret Skurski of Revere and James Twomey of N. Reading; cherished grandmother of Aria Rose and Nicholas J. Lehmann Jr., Frederick P. and Michael Naumann and Oliva Toires and Cooper J. Anderson and her best friend Diane Croce of Nashua NH.

Domenico Federico

1999 Holy Name Society Man of the Year

 

Domenico Federico of Boston’s North End died on February 26. He was 84 years old.

Mr. Federico emigrated from his native Italy in 1946 following in the footsteps of his father and uncles. He settled in Boston’s North End and made the North End his home for the rest of his life.

He was a founding member of the Associazione Gizio, a social club for his friends and their children from his native town, where he served as president 24 years. He was a member of the Federazione Abbruzzese and was very involved in many activities at St. Leonard’s Church in Boston as a lector for the Italian Mass on Sundays and as a Eucharistic Minister. In 1999, he received the Man of the Year award from the Holy Name Society as well as an Apostolic blessing from John Paul II.

One of his proudest achievements was bringing together a group of individuals to collect funds to build a church in his native Vallelarga in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy.

He is survived by his wife Sestilia (Incretolli) Federico (happily married for 61 years); children, Francesco “Frank” Federico and his wife, Mary, of Reading and Maria Pia Bonanno and her husband, Joseph, of Everett. He is also survived by grandchildren: Michael, LeeAnn, Kobe, Paul, Robert, Jennie, Tina and Antonio; his sister, Iris DeSantis, and many nephews and nieces.

Of Stoneham, formerly of Everett

 

Marion K. (Kevorkian) Moss of Stoneham, formerly of Everett, died on February 22. She was 92 years old.

She was a US Navy (WAVES) veteran of the World War II era.

She was the wife of the late Alfred T. Moss; beloved mother of Alfred T. Moss Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Stoneham and the late Nancy Moss and Cynthia Kane; mother-in-law of Owen Kane of Saugus. and is also lovingly survived by four grandchildren, Gregory Moss and his wife, Kelly, of New Hampshire, Jessica Moss of Cambridge, Julia Kane and Jeremy Kane, both of Saugus. and one great-granddaughter, Penelope Moss.

Edith Zanor of Everett died on February 25.

A retired employee of Sears Roebuck of Boston, she was the beloved wife for 59 years of James J. Zanor; sister of Dorothy Balas and her husband, Ed, of Middleboro, Joseph Rodrigues and his wife, Mijoo, of Texas and the late Hilda, May, Doris, George and Evelyn; long time friend of Mary Tanner and sister-in-law of Kathleen Zanor as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Frank Cataldo of Wilmington, formerly of Medford and Everett, died on February 24.

He was a retired U.S. Navy and Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

He was the beloved husband of Frances (Della Piana) together sharing 58 years of marriage; devoted father of Debra Moretti and her husband, Butch, of Wilmington; loving grandfather of Christina and Kimberly Moretti, both of Wilmington; cherished brother of Olympia “Lee” Sampson and Rosemarie Sola, both of Saugus, the late Kathleen Lammattina, Ernest, Salvi and George Cataldo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

James J. McDermott, a life long resident of Everett, died on February 25. He was 64 years old.

He was the father of James McDermott,  Kelly Herlihy and Kim McDermott; son of Mildred and Dominick McDermott and is also survived by four grandchildren.

Timothy J. Fitzgerald of Malden died on February 22.
