Everett Credit Union to host FREE College Planning Seminar on October 28

Everett Credit Union (ECU) is excited to offer a free seminar for high school students and parents concerned about paying for college. The seminar entitled “How to Prepare, Pay, and Stay in College” will give practical advice about the various forms of student financial aid, including scholarships, grants, and federal and private student loans, as well as the application process itself. Part of the seminar will focus on Everett Credit Union’s StudentChoice line of credit program, an alternative to private student loans. This loan program helps students fill the funding gaps that federal aid can leave behind. Unlike other alternative loan products, ECU’s student loan program offers significantly lower rates, zero origination fees, and more flexible repayment terms.

All high school juniors and seniors who attend a public, private, or charter school within Middlesex, Essex, Suffolk, or Norfolk counties are invited to attend. The free seminar is scheduled for Thursday, October 28 at 6:00 p.m. at Everett High School, 100 Elm Street, Everett, MA 02149. Registration is required; students can register by calling (617) 389-9000 or by coming into our branch office located at 650 Broadway, Everett, MA. All registered students will automatically be entered to win ECU’s door prizes: $100.00 gift certificates for college books.
