Last week, we noted in a news story that Bond Brothers Construction Company, located here for 107 years and led by fourth generation family member Ed Bond, donated $25,000 to the Jimmy Fund.
With this editorial, we praise Mr. Bond for carrying on the family tradition of charity and loyalty to the community where his business has been located for longer than a century.
Mr. Bond is a gold standard type gentleman.
Despite the great success of the construction company built by four generations of effort by his family forebears, he remains a quiet, thoughtful, intelligent construction company president with a vision and a heart.
And to him, Everett is a place he loves – and where he feels comfortable having his company located.
Again, Mr. Bond and his company have done the right thing for the Jimmy Fund.
Mr. Bond is the real thing.
