Common Council colleagues bid DiDomenico a fond farewell

Everett’s Sal DiDomenico won a resounding victory throughout the sprawling Middlesex, Suffolk and Essex District during light voting in last week’s special election finale.

He now officially becomes Senator-elect DiDomenico.

DiDomenico won by a huge margin.

Senate President Therese Murray said she’d set DiDomenico’s swearing in soon – and maybe as early as Friday.

DiDomenico faced an Independent candidate, John T. Cesan of Agawam.

DiDomenico will be facing Attorney Michael Flaherty, again, in the regular primary election in September.

DiDomenico takes over the seat once held by his former boss, Anthony Galluccio.

On Monday night, DiDomenico officially resigned his seat on the Everett Common Council. His colleagues on the council congratulated him and family. Councilor Rosemary Miller said, “he has always supported me and I am happy that he is continuing to work hard at the State House.”
