Ian Syblis and Ken Bailey were double winners for the Everett High boys track team in their meet with Malden last week.
Syblis captured both sprint events, speeding to victory in the 100 dash in 11.6 seconds and then doing likewise in the 200 in 23.5.
Bailey was the master of the throwing events, with first place efforts in the shotput with a throw of 44-7.5 and the discus with a toss of 133 feet.
Ivan Velez was another individual first place finisher on the day with a personal record (PR) run of 2:12.5 in the 800. Stanley LaForest was the top triple jumper in the meet with his hop, skip, and jump of 35-3.
The 4 x 400 relay team of Dom Mucci, John Lones, Wesly Simeon, and Velev also placed five points onto the Everett scoresheet with a first place run of 4:28.8.
Crimson Tide who scored three points for their second place efforts were David Lima in the 400 in 53.7; Dexter with a shotput heave of 38-11.5; LaForest with a high jump of 5-4; and Ryan Canillas with a javelin throw of 110-10.
Adding single points for their third place finishes were Braythener Machado in the 400 meter intermediate hurdles in 68.3; Ricky Perez with a personal record (PR) run of 11:26.6 in the two mile; Nick D’Angelo with a long jump of 14-8; Mateus Turra in the high jump with a leap of 5-0; and Dowe with a discus toss of 108-0.
The boys will meet St. Mary’s of Lynn next week.
