Philip Moir Clarke

Retired Exxon Oil Bookkeeper

Philip Moir Clarke of Everett went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on March 8 in the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. He was 79 years old.

Born in the Roxbury section of Boston, Philip lived in Everett for many years. He was a graduate of Bentley University where he received his associate’s degree and worked for Exxon Oil and Refining Company in Everett for many years as a bookkeeper.

He was the beloved husband of Madeline C. (O’Hearn) Clarke for over 43 years; cherished father of Philip J. Clarke of Everett and Susan M. Clarke of Merrimack, NH; son of the late Robert S. and Victoria (Leggett) Clarke; brother of the late Barbara and Nancy Clarke. Phil is also survived by his beloved cats: Barney, Oscar and Seamus. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Philip’s visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) Everett on Friday, March 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. His funeral service will be in the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Contributions in Philip’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or to the charity of one’s choice would be sincerely appreciated.

Robert Constantine

Retired Postal Supervisor and MBTA Bus Driver; Avid Red Sox Fan; Veteran of Two Wars

Robert W. Constantine of Everett entered into rest on  March 4 in the Whidden Memorial Hospital. He was 87 years old.

Bob was a Marine Corps veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from the United States Postal Service in South Station where he worked as the General Supervisor, a retired bus driver for the MBTA and also a very avid and devoted Red Sox Fan.

Born in Cambridge, he lived in Everett for many years and was the beloved husband of Emma M. (Flores) for over 63 years; dear and devoted father of Robert P. Constantine and his wife, Janice of Everett, Roberta T. Constantine and her husband, Michael Actor of Peabody, Bettyanne Woods of Weymouth and Paulette Gray of Everett; brother of William J. Constantine, Jr. of Gardner, Loretta Burns of Stoughton and the late John and Richard C. Constantine and Mary Roberta McVey; loving grandfather of Robbie, Courtney and Kaylan Constantine, Geoffrey and Eddie Woods and Lisa Gray. Bob is also survived by several loving great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob’s memory to St. Jude Children’ s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, would be sincerely appreciated. Arrangements are by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett.

Rocco D’Alleva

Longtime Member of Sons of Orsogna Club

Rocco D’Alleva of Everett died on March 9.

A longtime member of the Sons of Orsogna Club in Everett, he was born in Orsogna, Abruzzi, Italy.

Rocco was the beloved husband of Maria (Moda); father of Domenic of Lynnfield, brother of Michael and Nicola, both of Everett and Domenic of Wilmington, formerly of Everett. He is also survived by one granddaughter ,Adriana of Lynnfield, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was the brother-in-law of Frank Moda of Winchester and Tony Moda of Boxford.

His Funeral will be held from Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., Everett, Saturday, March 15 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony Church, Everett at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
