Everett native Cory Kidd was recognized prior to the Board of Aldermen’s meeting Monday night “for his commitment and dedication to his community and his country,” ahead of his enlistment in the U.S. Army next month.
According to Alderman Robert Van Campen who sponsored the citation for Kidd, the young Everett man is hoping to join Special Forces, upon his completion of basic training, which he begins next month.
“I wanted the folks at home to see the kind of young men that Everett is producing,” noted Van Campen during his presentation Monday night. “And, it’s not just because of good parents, lots of people have good parents, but it’s because this is a good community as well.”
