Robert ‘Booba’ Lake

US Postal employee

Robert M.”Booba” Lake of Lynn died at Tampa General Hospital in Florida on June 25 after a long illness. He was 51 years old.

A long time US Postal employee, he was the beloved son of the late Robert W. and the late Vivian J. (Peterson) Lake; loving husband of Diane M. (Flewelling) Lake; loving brother of Michele (Lake) Griffen-Adams, Jeff, Paul, and Fred Lake. He is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, family, and friends. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation and gratitude to his caregivers, Michele, Meghan, Steve, Mike, and James.

Matilda Memmolo

Everett resident, formerly of East Boston

Matilda E. (Camerano) Memmolo of Everett, formerly of East Boston, died on June 22.

She was the beloved wife of Domenic; loving mother of Ralph Memmolo and his wife, Loretta, of Groveland and Deborah Memmolo and her husband, Joseph Crocker, of North Reading; beloved sister of Patrick Camerano and the late Charles and Philip Camerano, Antonetta Mazza, Rose Karas and Caroline Bianchino. She is survived by two loving grandchildren, Michael Memmolo and Alexis Wallace and her husband, Brian, and two great grandchildren William and Brook Wallace, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Of Lynnfield, formerly of Everett

Josephine (Santosuosso) D’Agostino of Lynnfield, formerly of Everett, died on June 25.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frank and loving mother of Constance and her husband, James Cirino, of Lynnfield and Rita D’Agostino of Peabody.

Raymond Millen

Airline retiree

Raymond E. Millen, formerly of Everett, died on June 21 in Seattle, Washington. He was 81 years old.

A graduate of  Everett High School, Class of 1948, he was a US Navy veteran and a long time Wakefield resident. He started an airline career with Northeast Airlines and retired from Delta Airlines in 1988. He loved traveling and living in France with his beloved late wife Josette Millen.

He was a devoted father to Philippe Millen and his wife, Pamela, of Edmonds, WA.

A private memorial will be held in Seattle. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Heart Association will be appreciated.

Theodora ‘Dotty’ Suarez

Saugus resident

Theodora H. “Dotty” (Ferrante) Suarez of Saugus died on June 22.

The beloved wife of the late Philip, she was the loving mother of Manuel Suarez and his wife, Joan, of Concord, NH and Philip Suarez and his wife, Pauline, of Boise, Idaho. He is survived by his loving granddaughter Marianne Alexander and her husband, John, and Philip Suarez.

Isabelle Floccher

Former Saugus resident

Isabelle M. (Maggio) Floccher, formerly of Saugus, died June 24 at Glen Ridge Nursing Home in Medford. She was 92 years old.

She was the wife of the late Dante J. Floccher; mother and mother-in-law of Ann Marie and Ronald Rowe, and Dante and Mary Floccher of Saugus; she also leaves 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Frank, Phil and Peter Maggio.

Carmen J. Reppucci of Melrose, formerly of Revere, died on June 22 following a long illness. He was 65 years old.

He was the beloved husband of 38 years to Peggy Ann (Robbins); devoted brother of James C. Reppucci and his wife, Diana G., of Melrose; cherished uncle of Ronald J. Reppucci and wife, Diane P., of Eliot, ME, Younger Robbins of California and Giselle Surette of Florida; dear nephew of Frances “Chica” Crisafulli of Everett, Jeanette Crisafi, and Joanne Reppucci, both of Revere; dear granduncle of Lydia J., Nathaniel J., and Gregory J. Reppucci, all of Eliot, ME and Gina Surette of Florida.

John Cahill

Retired school administrator

John A. Cahill of Reading, formerly of Woburn and Everett, died on June 23.

The retired Assistant Principal of the Lynch and McCall Junior High Schools in Winchester, he was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen (O’Neill) Cahill; devoted father of John Cahill and his wife, Gail, of Wilmington, Janet McElhiney and her husband, William, of Reading, Judith Bingel and her husband, Edward, of Woburn, and the late Jerard Cahill; dear brother of Eleanor Ward of Duxbury, formerly of Centerville, and the late Alfred and Richard Cahill; brother-in-law of Virginia Cahill of Winchester, formerly of Medford; loving grandfather of Meghan, Erin, and Ryen Cahill and Colleen Drauschki and her husband, Erik, Brendan, William III, and Kathleen McElhiney, and Eamon and Aidan Bingel, and great-grandfather of Eva Oppedisano.

Veronica O’Brien

Everett resident

Veronica H. (Pastore) O’Brien of Everett died on June 19.

She was 85 years old.

She was the beloved wife of the late William H. O’Brien; loving mother of Gail Shanley and her husband, Paul, William O’Brien and Richard O’Brien, all of Everett, Kevin O’Brien and his partner, Richard Eldridge, of Revere, and the late Karen Morse, Sandra Sullivan, and Michael O’Brien. She is also survived by 10 cherished grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of one late cherished grandchild.

Mary Jane ‘Aunt Mame’ Alsterberg

Long Active at Parkway Assembly of God Church

Mary Jane “Aunt Mame” (Mulley) Alsterberg went to be with the Lord on June 19. She was 101 years young.

She was born in Blackhead, Newfoundland, daughter of the late Allen and Clementine (King) Mulley. She is survived by her loving sister Beryl LeGrow of Alabama and a large family of nieces and nephews.  She was the wife of the late Gilbert Alsterberg.

“Aunt Mame” spent her last few years in Homewood, Alabama and will be remembered by many who attended Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church with her.  She was an active member of Parkway Assembly of God Church in Massachusetts where she spent most of her life.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to the many care-givers who were with Aunt Mame over these last few years. She will be missed.

Graveside services were conducted at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Arrangements were entrusted to the William R. Carafa & Son Home For Funerals, Chelsea. Edward R. Arsenault of Everett died on June 21.

He was the husband of Genevieve (Cantalupi); loving father of Edward R. Arsenault Jr. and his wife, Andrea, of Ohio, Jane Jagiello and her husband, Jim, of Everett, Mary Fiorentino and her husband, Tom, of Saugus, and Anne Marvan and her husband, Joe, of Wellesley; brother of Ernest Arsenault and Dorothy Tillinghast. He is survived by 10 loving grandchildren, Dana, Amanda, Alyssa, Michael, Kristi, Tommy, Erica, Alexandra, Nick and Jonathan.

Mary ‘Mai’ Driscoll

Retired Registered Nurse

Mary “Mai” (Dennis) Driscoll, born in County Cork, Ireland and a longtime Everett resident, died on June 20. She was 75 years old.

A retired registered nurse, she was a former member of St. Therese Ladies Sodality and was most of all deeply devoted to her loving family and friends.

She was the beloved wife of William E. Driscoll; loving mother of Liam Driscoll and his wife, Svetlana, of Lexington, Jennifer Baker and her husband, Ben, of Ipswich; loving sister of Kathleen O’Brien, Tess Boress, and Breda Woods; cherished grandmother of Sasha and Connor Driscoll, Fiona, Kayley and Bridget Baker. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grandnephews, and friends.
