Mayor Carlo DeMaria, the City of Everett, and the Everett Beautification Committee held a hugely successful Spring Clean Up Event this past Saturday, May 11th.  The event was sponsored by GTA Co., Inc., Everett Supply-True Value Hardware, and The Everett Square Deli.

Residents and city workers came together in an effort to continue to prepare Everett’s neighborhoods and parks for the summer.  Volunteers removed debris, raked, swept, and collected branches and dirt.

In addition, under the guidance of Paris Street Gallery owner Alvin Colon, and local artists Eileen Umba-Neuwinger and Gabriella Crinigan, Everett High School art students began to design and paint utility boxes throughout the City.

A delicious and healthy lunch was provided courtesy of The Square Deli, located on Broadway.

“I would like to thank everyone who came out and took part in our Spring Clean Up Event,” states Mayor DeMaria, “This is an important event each year to prepare our parks for the summer months, so that they are suitable to be played in and to be enjoyed by all our children and families.”
