Calvin Wentworth
Retired Delivery Truck Driver
Calvin Wentworth of Revere, formerly of Chelsea and Everett, died January 17 at the Chelsea Healthcare Facility after a long illness. He was 81 years old.
He was a member of the English Revere Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and others before that since the age of 10 when he and his mother, Ebba, of East Boston and Sweden came in contact with Jehovah’s Witnesses in a South Shore Community. His last employment was as a delivery truck driver for Caldarone and Sons of Chelsea.
He lived in Revere for 27 years and formerly in Chelsea and Everett. He is survived by his wife, Sally, to whom he was married for 44 years; a sister, Betteann, and her husband, Ben Maltese, of Anaheim, California; three children, Richard Wentworth and his wife, Cindy, of Georgetown, Sharen Wentworth of Hyde Park, and Wendy Brown and her husband, Charles, of Haverhill and his grandchildren, Richard Wentworth and Luke Aleo and his wife, Heather.
A memorial service will be held for Mr. Wentworth at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 40 Hysil Ave., Revere at 3 p.m. Saturday. If one wishes, instead of flowers, donations may be made to English Revere Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the above address.

Genoveffa (Mastrocola) DiNardo, a long time Everett resient, died on January 16 at the Lifecare Nursing Center in Stoneham.
Born in Orsogna, Italy and a homemaker, she was the beloved wife of the late Pierino DiNardo; dear and devoted mother o Eugene DiNardo and his wife, Elizabeth, Amesbury and the late Assunta DiTullio and her surviving husband, Remo DiTullio, o Everett; sister of Theresa Penna of Everett and the late Rachel Ciancio, maria D’Angelo and Maria Nicola Mastrocola; loving grandmother of Biagio and Tane DeTullio and their children, Katie and Sarah DiTullio, Fiorentino DiTullio and his son, Remo Paul DiTullio, Lisa and John Collins and their children, Caylee, Mackenzie, Samantha and John Paul Collins, Mark and Marsha DiNardo and their children, Peter and Ariana DiNardo, Dugene DiNardo and Yvonne Strauss and their children, Jannette and Lori Strauss and their great great granddaughter, Destiny Strauss.
Her funeral will be held from the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St., (Corner of Main Street) Everett on Friday morning at 9 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, Oakes Street, Everett, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Joan Delory
Registered Nurse and Professor of Nursing
Joan M. Delory of Middleton, formerly of Everett and Pittsfield, entered into eternal life surrounded by her family on January 14 after a long illness. She was 75 years old.
A Registered Nurse for more than 50 years, she was a graduate of Cheverus High School in Malden and Whidden Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Everett. She received a B.S.N. Degree in Nursing from Boston College and an M.Ed. from Boston State College. She was an instructor of Nursing at Whidden Memorial and Chelsea Hospital School of Nursing and a former Director of the Everett Visiting Nurse Association before moving to Pittsfield in 1968.
She joined the Faculty of Berkshire Community College where she taught as a Professor of Nursing for 27 years until her retirement in 1995. During her tenure at the college she served for seven years as the Chairperson of the Nursing Dept.
She was also involved in many religious, civic and charitable organizations. She was a past President of the Pittsfield Lodge of the Sons of Italy and a member of the Everett Emblem Club. She dedicated her life caring for the sick and teaching others how to care for them as well. Her kindness towards her patients and students will long be remembered.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Perina J. and Alice N. Delory; cherished sister of Mary D. Keller and her husband, Ernest, of Winthrop, Carole D. O’Keefe and her husband, John, of Middleton and Atty. Paul A. Delory and his wife, Paula, of Lynnfield. She is also survived by many devoted nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and four godchildren.

Dorothy J. (Burgess) Plati of Melrose died on January 13 in the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. She was 96 years old.
Born in Everett on September 1914, she was the daughter of the late John Burgess and Mabel Knight. She was raised and educated in Everett and later moved to Melrose. For many years, she worked for Mike Roberts Production and Fireman’s Fund Insurance in Boston. During her life, she was able to travel extensively through Western Europe, Scandinavia and the Far East. She was an excellent cook and derived great pleasure in taking care of her home and family. She also enjoyed decorating and oil painting.
The beloved mother of Eleanor Cotter and her husband, William, of Peabody and Richard of Melrose, she was the loving grandmother of Anthony of San Diego, CA and great-grandmother of Amber and Autumn of San Diego; sister of the late Edna Johnston and Eleanor Chiavelli; dear aunt of Dorothy LeBlanc and her husband, Bob, Donald Chiavelli and his wife, Carole, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
