Zamor Scores Three Touchdowns in Everett’s 35–0 Win Over English

Christian Zamor rushed for three touchdowns as the Everett High football defeated Lynn English, 35-0, Friday night at Manning Field in Lynn.

Zamor, who will be attending Boston College next year, had TD runs of 71, 5, and 28 yards.

“Christian had 10 carries for 196 yards and also caught two passes,” said head coach Justin Flores. “He had an outstanding game. The whole offensive line did a great job all game. Dominic Papa, who usually doesn’t play a lot on offense, and wide receiver Jaysaun Coggins provided some excellent blocking.”

Damien Lackland was also a standout with two touchdowns, including a 10-yard run on the Tide’s opening possession.

Yariel Ortiz, Shane MacKenzie, and Dominic Papa led Everett’s dominance on defense. The Tide limited English to 35 yards in total offense.

Homecoming Game Friday Versus BC High

Everett (2-1) will host BC High (3-0) in the annual Homecoming Game Friday at 7 p.m. at Everett Memorial Stadium.

Everett is ranked No. 6 in the Boston Globe Top 20 poll. BC High is ranked No. 18. The visiting Eagles have defeated LaSalle Academy (Providence), 28-21, Reading (44-7), and Woburn (4-14).

“This is a big game,” said Coach Flores. “They’re a ranked opponent. It’s a challenge, just like Xaverian was, so it’s a key game. They have a really good quarterback (Maxwell Galvin) and their defense moves around a lot, so it’s going to be a different look that we haven’t see yet this year, but we’re up to the challenge.”
