As part of its 40th anniversary celebration, members of the Class of 1975 presented the Everett School Committee with a plaque commemorating the life and career of their late friend and classmate,
Dan Ross. A standout for the Crimson Tide and Northeastern University, Ross enjoyed a long and successful professional career, most notably with the Cincinnati Bengals. The plaque, which features the poem “Success” by Ralph Waldo Emerson, will be placed inside Everett High’s trophy case. Members of Dan Ross’ family and the Class of ’75 donated additional items to the high school, including the official program from Super Bowl XVI (when Ross set a single-game Super Bowl record for receptions), two of his playing cards, and a gold football recognizing Ross’ career as an NFL standout.
