Barbara Davison

Registered Nurse

Barbara I. Davison, R.N. of Everett entered into rest on August 28 in the North Shore Medical Center in Salem. She was 77 years old.

Born in Everett, Barbara lived in Everett for most of her life. She attained her masters degree in nursing and was dedicated to healthcare all of her life. She worked for the Joint Commission for Accreditation for hospitals for many years and served for many years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. She was a late member of the American Nurses Association and the National Nurses Honor Society.

The beloved daughter of the late Clara and Harold Davison, Barbara is lovingly survived by The Brady Family of Everett and by her many friends and nursing students.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Barbara’s visitation in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett, today, Wednesday, September 2 at 12 noon followed by her Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Joseph LaRusso

Retired Everett Firefighter Lieutenant and longtime owner of Best Realty

Joseph D. LaRusso, Jr. Lt. EFD (Ret) of Everett entered into rest on August 29 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 85 years old.

Born in Everett, Joe was a longtime Everett resident. He was a member of the Everett Fire Department for many years retiring as a lieutenant in charge of fire prevention. Following his retirement from fire service, Joe worked in real estate. He owned and operated Best Realty for many years. A US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the 100 Club of Massachusetts and the International Association of Fraternal Firefighters, he was a former member of the Sons of Italy, Everett Chamber of Commerce and the VFW.

He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Rosselle) for 35 years; dear and devoted father of Teresa Carter of Everett, Danny Michael Payne and his wife, Joanne of Saugus and Timothy Payne and his wife, Rondi of Mabank, TX; brother of the late Sam, Pat, John and Rocco LoRusso, Anthony LaRusso, Carmella DiNuzzo and Theresa Hurst; loving grandfather of Kabryn Carter, Tori and Emily Payne and Danny Michael Payne, Jr. Joe is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joe’s visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main Street) Everett today, Wednesday, September 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Beatrice Morrissey

Of Everett, formerly of Dorchester

Beatrice (Collins) Morrissey of Everett, formerly of Dorchester, entered into rest at home on August 26 surrounded by her loving family.  She was 89 years of age.

Beatrice was born in Lynn and lived with her daughter, Sandra in Everett for many years.  She worked as a waitress for many years at Linda Mae’s Coffee Shop in Dorchester.

The beloved wife of the late Thomas Morrissey, she was the dear and devoted mother of Sandra Grogan of Everett, Kathleen Dwyer and her husband, James and Michaeline Venere of Dorchester; dear sister of  Jean Garrison of Montana; cherished grandmother of Michael Grogan and Lisa Giordano, Michellle Grogan, Denise  Vacirca and her husband, James, Nicole Villasorda and the late Sean Grogan and his surviving wife, Kerry and the late Richard Maffie. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Beatrice’s Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett, today, Wednesday, September 2 at 10 a.m.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus. Shirley Traill

Former Everett resident

Shirley L. (Robertson) Traill, formerly of South Dennis and Everett, passed away at Woodbriar Health Center in Wilmington on August 25. She was 91 years old.

The beloved wife of the late William F. Traill, she was the loving mother of Judith Monagle and her husband, John of North Andover, Dennis Traill and his wife, Christine of Everett, Deborah Aldrich and her husband, Mark of North Reading, Kevin Traill and his wife, Joyce of Peabody and the late William Traill and his surviving wife, Eileen of York, Maine. She is also survived by many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the loving sister of the late Martin Robertson and Eleanor Hauser.
