McGonagle Set to Take Office as Everett’s State Representative

Joseph W. McGonagle was set to take his oath of office at the State House Wednesday morning as Everett’s state representative for a two-year term.

McGonagle, a former member of the Everett City Council, defeated State Rep. Wayne Matewsky in the Democratic primary in September. He was elected to the seat in November without opposition.

McGonagle joins State Sen. Sal DiDomenico in the city’s legislative delegation on Beacon Hill. DiDomenico was re-elected to a two-year term in November
