Brigida ‘Noni’ Saldutti

Of Everett

Brigida “Noni” Saldutti of Everett died on April 9.  The beloved wife of the late Michele, she was the mother of Salvatore R. of Everett and was predeceased by her siblings.  She is survived by one granddaughter, Tinamarie Saldutti and two great grandsons, Anthony and Salvatore DiPierro.  Funeral arrangements were by the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Joseph Russo, Jr.

Of Malden, formerly of Everett

Joseph Russo, Jr. of Malden, formerly of Everett, died at Beth Israel Hospital on April 12.

He was the beloved husband of Gina (Pio) Russo with whom he shared 24 years of marriage; proud father of Joey and Nick Russo; cherished son of Jennie (Russo) Russo of Everett and the late Joseph Russo; sister in law of Diana (Lepore) Pio of Melrose and the late Joseph Pio; brother in law of Bob and Janice Cecere and their son, Bobby of Lynnfield and Angela Bravo of Somerville and the dear cousin of Stephen “Moon” Russo of Everett.

Elena Bennett Rizzo

Of Everett

Elena Bennett Rizzo of Everett died unexpectedly on April 11.

The beloved wife of the late Richard Rizzo, she was the dear and devoted mother of Juan A. Villalobos  and his wife, Vilma of Everett; dear sister of Victor Bennett of Costa Rica; loving grandmother of Francisco Villalobos of North Carolina, Melissa Villalobos of Saugus and Alberto Villalobos of East Boston.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Elena’s service in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) Everett on Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m.  Parking with attendants on duty.  Contributions in her memory to the charity of one’s choice would be sincerely appreciated.

Dina-Marie Piazza

Educator

Dina-Marie (Vitagliano) Piazza of Wilmington, formerly of Everett, died at Massachusetts General Hospital on April 11. She was 33 years old.

Born in Malden and a lifelong resident of Everett before settling in Wilmington, she received her Master’s Degree from Cambridge College in Education and was a teacher with the education cooperative.

She was the beloved wife of Jeffrey R. Piazza; dear and devoted mother of Hannah Rose Piazza; loving daughter of Kathy B. (Patterson) and the late Michael A. “Tag” Vitagliano, Jr. of Everett; dear sister of Leanna and Lacey Vitagliano of Everett.  Funeral arrangements were by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Michael ‘Tag’ Vitagliano, Jr.

Truck Driver whose passion was his motorcycle

Michael A. “Tag” Vitagliano, Jr., died unexpectedly on April 5 in the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was 65 years old.

Born in Everett, ‘Tag’ was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and a truck driver by profession who worked for Mattuchio Excavating Company in Malden. Tag’s strong passion was his motorcycle.

He was the beloved husband of Kathy B. (Patterson); son of the late Michael and Doris (Carbone) Vitagliano; dear and devoted father of Dina Piazza and her husband, Jeffrey of Wilmington, Leanna and Lacey Vitagliano of Everett; brother of Rina Knight of Lakeville, Theresa Miele of New Hampshire, Lois Laven of Florida, Jeannie Matheson of Lakeville, Marianne Douglass of Burlington and Doris Santos of Lakeville. He was the loving grandfather of Hannah Rose Piazza.

Shirley Hansbury

Lifelong Chelsea Resident

Shirley L. (Epstein) Hansbury, a lifelong resident of Chelsea, died on April 9. She was 78 years old.

The wife of the late John P. Hansbury, she was the devoted mother of Corinne E. Sanchez and her husband and Phillip of Redondo Beach, CA and Paula L. Sullivan and her husband, Brian of Swampscott; daughter of the late Morris and Alberta (Tavares) Epstein; dear sister of Harold Epstein of Marblehead, Arline Porter of Everett and the late Bernice Radzikowski and is also lovingly survived by her three very special and  cherished grandchildren: Christopher Sullivan and Lauren Sullivan, both of Swampscott and Kevin Sanchez of California.

Funeral arrangements were by the William R. Carafa & Son Home For Funerals, Chelsea. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.   For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to  St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 201 Washington Ave., Chelsea.

Robert Paul Moreschi

Longtime Everett Highway Department Foreman

Robert Paul Moreschi of Peabody, formerly of Everett, died on April 14.

Robert was a disabled Viet Nam Veteran and a longtime foreman for the City of Everett Highway Department.

He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Giovanelli); father of Lisa Moreschi and Colby Scott of Everett, Nicole Fritz and her husband, Kevin of Everett, Robert and his wife, Debra of Texas, Anthony and his wife, Sonia of Methuen and Anne Lopez and her husband, David of Methuen; son of the late Nicholas and Regina; brother of Ann DiBattista of Everett, the late Nicholas and Joann Russo and is also survived by six grandchildren: Kailey, MacKenzie, Cameron, Kevin, Olivia and Ryan. He was the Special Papa to Robbie and also uncle/father of Timothy and Michael Fitzgerald as well as many nieces and nephews.

His Funeral will be held from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., Everett, Thursday, April 18, at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony Church, Everett at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are today,Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mass General Hospital, C/O James Markmann, MD, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114.
