Mary Burton
Former Everett resident
Mary P. (Doyle) Burton of Lynnfield, formerly of Revere and Everett, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 in the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was 85 years old.
Born in Everett, Mary remained a lifelong resident until a few short years ago.
She was the beloved wife of more than 59 years of the late Frank J. “Tootsie” Burton; dear and devoted mother of Susan F. Lilley and her husband, Mark of Woburn, Kenneth J. Burton and his late wife, Kathleen and Barbara Aucello and her fiance’, James Frati of Saugus; sister of Jean Hussey and her late husband, Warren of Lynnfield, Paul Doyle and his wife, Mary of Wakefield, Ronald Doyle and his late wife, Mary of Stoneham, Michael Doyle and his wife, Pauline of Everett, Adrian Doyle and his wife, Ann of Tewksbury and the late George Doyle and his surviving wife, Roberta of Florida; loving grandmother of Joseph Lilley and his wife, Christa, Sarah Burgoyne and her husband, Steve, and Samantha and Stephanie Aucello and loving great-grandmother of Hannah Burgoyne and Olivia Lilley.
Funeral arrangements were by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Contributions in Mary’s memory to the VNA of Middlesex East Hospice, 800 Cummings Park, Unit 5000, Woburn, MA 01801, would be sincerely appreciated.

Ersilia Matarazzo
The entire Everett community mourns her loss
Ersilia (Cataldo) Matarazzo of Peabody, formerly of Everett, died on Dec. 19. She was 50 years old.
Within Everett she served on the School Committee, Board of Registrars and was also on the Board of Assessors. She was Vice President of The Kiwanis Club and a devoted church member allowing her to share her love throughout the community through numerous charitable ventures and opportunities to volunteer. She was the secretary and a church member at St. Anthony Church in Everett. Ersilia was the operation manager at Metro Credit Union.
The loving mother of Carmine and his wife, Ashley, Amata, and Giuseppe Matarazzo of Peabody, Ersilia was the cherished daughter of Elvira (DiPierro) and Giuseppe Cataldo of Everett; sister of Maria Pagliuca and her husband, Antonio of Peabody, Tricia Larocca and her husband, Giuseppe of Everett, Adriana Carbo and her husband, Anthony of Stoneham, Gina Maniscalco and her husband, Andrew of Wakefield, Erminia Buscaino and her husband, Joseph of Wakefield, Giuseppina Cerasuolo and her husband, Marc of Reading, Anthony Cataldo and his wife, Silvia of Peabody and Amy Buscaino and her husband, Joseph of Wakefield. She was predeceased by her loving brother, Luigi, and her grandparents, Maria and Armenio DiPerro and Luigi and Ersilia Cataldo. Ersilia leaves behind many grieving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and an entire community that is mourning the loss of a woman who always made them feel special.
Funeral arrangements were by the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., Everett. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
