Catherine Consalvo
Of Everett
Catherine C. Consalvo, a native of Everett, died peacefully at her home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in the early morning hours of April 10 following a long illness. She was 92 years old.
Catherine and her family have been members of the Everett community since the 1920’s. She was the eldest of five children of Tony and Susie Consalvo. Her father and brother, Billy, deceased since 1994, owned a successful trucking company for many years for which she handled coordinating operations and financials. She also established her own trucking company with her partner and lifelong companion, Arthur King called Hilee, Inc.
Catherine was well-known and respected for her quick wit and generous spirit. She was always willing to listen and offer her wisdom and support. A tireless worker, she could juggle a half dozen jobs and know what was happening at every one of them.
Throughout her life, Catherine developed into a world class cook treating her friends and family to homemade dishes such as pizza, calzone, chicken cutlets and, of course, spectacular gravy! If you dropped by, there was always something delicious ready in her kitchen. She once won a meatball contest sponsored by a local Florida restaurant which was featured on their menu.
Catherine retired to South Florida in the late 90’s, but she never stopped cooking.
Catherine is survived by her daughter, Mary of Maine, sister, Esther of Albany, NY, sister, Gilda of the Boston area, and brother, Sonny of South Florida; grandchildren Gary, Brandon, Joey, Jamie, Danielle, and her lifelong companion, Arthur King.
Catherine’s Light will shine on in all those who knew and loved her.
At Catherine’s request, please make donations to St Jude’s Hospital. A private ceremony will be held near her home in South Florida.
