Everett Community Growers Need Votes to Win National Contest

Mayor DeMaria and the Everett Community Growers (ECG) are asking Everett residents to cast their votes and help the ECG win Nature’s Path Gardens for Good Grant.

The ECG currently places fifth out of 120 entries across the country in a contest to win $15,000 to start a new garden and grow organic produce for food pantries in Everett.

Everett Community Growers is a program of the  Everett Community Health Partnership (ECHP), working to improve health outcomes and increase civic engagement among Everett residents through urban agriculture and other food justice initiatives. Membership is comprised of residents and local organizational leaders committed to food justice. Everett Community Growers members work to create spaces for growing food in the city, as well as conduct workshops and other community engagement activities aimed at increasing residents’ knowledge and understanding of health equity and food justice.

The Everett Community Growers need your help to keep the momentum going! Please visit The City of Everett’s Facebook page or Mayor DeMaria’s Facebook page and follow the link to cast your vote. You can vote once every 24 hours until July 6th!
