Gaming Club Parlin YA Room. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3pm. Join us for board games and video games at the library! Bring your own or play what we have here. For ages 12 and up.

New England Ghosts. Parlin Meeting Room. Tuesday, September 29th at 7pm. New England Ghosts explores local history through the lens of spirits and unexplained phenomena. Jonah Knight takes us through six ghost stories (one from each New England state) with magical effects to enhance the legends! This program is suggested for ages 18+

Mahjong Club, Parlin Meeting Room, Wednesday September 30th at 1:00 pm. Want to click the tiles and do the Charleston? Join us for our first ever American style Mahjong Club. It’s a fast paced and social game. We have two sets and eight cards, but we can share and learn together. No sign up required. Watch Anime! Parlin YA Room. Wednesdays at 3pm. Come by our new Watch Anime Club in the YA Room at the Parlin Library. Vote on and watch your favorite anime with your friends! Recommended for ages 11+.

West African Kora, Parlin Meeting Room, Wednesday September 30th at 7:00 pm. Sean Gaskell, who studied in West Africa, plays and teaches us about the West African harp; how it is built, who plays it and when. Be inspired by the music and a Q&A session before the final song.

The Great Everett Jewelry Exchange Saturday, October 3rd, Ticket Holders 12:00 to 1:00, Nonticket holders 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Are you cleaning up your house this Fall? Make a pile of your unwanted jewelry. Bring it to the Parlin or Shute Libraries. Exchange for tickets to our jewelry sale. Two pieces of jewelry are worth one ticket. Parlin Childrens

Grab n Go Crafts, Stop by the Parlin and Shute children’s rooms every Monday for a Grab and Go craft. A self directed arts and crafts program for children ages 3-8. Crafts can be taken home or crafted with a friend or caregiver at our children’s tables. No registration required, while supplies last.

Lego Club. Parlin Children’s Room. Monday, September 28th from 3-5pm. Come to the Children’s Room on Mondays for some free-building lego fun. Open to all ages. Children under 6 years old must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Storytime and Singalong with Karen, Parlin Children’s Room. Wednesday, September 30th at 11am. Join us for a fun-filled morning of singing and storytelling with Karen! Suggested ages 0-6.

Creative Drama Parlin Children’s Room. Wednesday, September 30th at 3pm.Children ages 5 – 12 will enjoy using creativity and imagination through role-playing, improvisation, and storytelling.

Shute Children’s

Storytime at the Shute Shute Children’s Room. Mondays at 10 AM and Tuesdays at 12 PM. What’s better than a good story? Sharing it with friends! Join Miss Val at the Shute Library for Fairytale Fun!

Master Builders: Lego Free-play: Shute Children’s Room. Thursdays from 3-5PM. Free-play session with Legos and other building blocks. Bring a buddy, or make a new one, as you explore your imagination brick by brick! We provide the space and the materials to let your vision take shape. What will you create?

Spintronics – Stem Free-Play Join us at the Shute Memorial Library every Friday afternoon from 2:30 – 4:30 PM for a STEM-based free-play session. Try “Spintronics,” and use mechanical circuits to solve puzzles, or try “Bridge or Bust,” and see if you can build a bridge large enough to span the distance and sturdy enough to hold the weight. Both games will test (and expand) your ability to solve problems creatively. Will you rise to the challenge? For Ages 8 and up. Registration is not required.
