Letter to the Editor

Thank You for a Successful Pop-Up Picnic

To the Editor,

The Everett Cultural Council (ECC) wishes to thank everyone who toughed it out through the heat to help us have a great Pop-Up Picnic. Thanks to: The City of Everett, Mass Cultural Council, Eleanor Gaylord – Eliot Family Resource Center, Samantha Lambert – Everett Growers, Everyday Boston – Cara Solomon, and her Story Share activity. The teen volunteers: Everett High School Scholar Ambassadors and Teens In Everett Against Substance Abuse were all helpful, positive and upbeat and much appreciated. Also, Integral Arts of Everett and Beyond for the Wishing Wall, ArtLab Everett for Tape Together and What Do You Like About Art?, Komal Markan for Neurographic Drawing activity, Sioux Gerow for The Post Card Project, Sushil Gautam for his demonstration of the Nepali folk instrument Murchunga, Rejane de Musis for storytelling and members of Diabolis In Musica for musical entertainment.  Outstanding volunteers Dipendra and Rouise, who were outstanding and positive despite brutal heat and ‘our hero’ Ayesha, who did a late water run. And it all would not have come together without ECC Members Joanna Garren, Martha Chason-Sokol, Rejane de Musis for being hands on deck to get this together. Much gratitude to everyone who attended, we hope to see you next year!
