The Everett High football team will face off against Revere High in an interesting Senior Night matchup of the Greater Boston League’s top-ranked teams Friday at 6 p.m. at Everett Memorial Stadium.
Everett (1-0) is coming off a bye week after earning a 42-12 victory over Lynn English in Rob DiLoreto’s first game as head coach.
Revere (2-0) has been very impressive in victories over Lynn Classical (18-0) and Lynn English (38-22). Revere was a Division 4 North finalist in 2019 while compiling a 10-1 record. Quarterback Calvin Boudreau leads the Patriots’ potent offense. Boudreau, a talented 6-foot-2-inch three sport (football, basketball, and baseball) captain, has committed to Curry College.
Everett High’s 12 seniors will be honored during a pre-game recognition ceremony.
Everett Coach Rob DiLoreto and Revere Coach Lou Cicatelli worked together for several years on the coaching staff at the Bavaro Brothers Football Camp.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to play Revere,” said DiLoreto. “We know they’re very good and well coached. It will be a hard-fought game. Their quarterback (Boudreau) is very seasoned and they have established a culture of winning in the program and that shows loud and clear on the game film.”
Everett once again has several outstanding players on its roster, including defensive end Josaiah Stewart (Coastal Carolina), wide receiver Tyrese Baptiste (Maine) quarterback and defensive back Samy Lamothe (Princeton), and wide receiver and defensive back Ismael Zamor, who has committed to Boston College as a junior.
