A photo of Ambassador Walter Carrington and his wife, Arese, in June 2019 as honored guests on opening day of the Encore Boston Harbor resort casino. Carrington, a proud Everett native, was an icon in the Civil Rights Movement and stood up for democracy and American values during dangerous times as an Ambassador in Nigeria. He passed away last weekend at the age of 90.
