The Metro North Regional Employment Board, d/b/a MassHire Metro North Workforce Board (MNWB), gave official notice of its intent to procure a One-Stop Career Center operator(s) starting Fiscal Year 2021 (July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021). Approximately $3.2 million will be available for One-Stop Career Center operator(s) for Fiscal Year 2021 and the charter will be for multiple years.
MNWB will be issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for organizations that provide innovative workforce development services for businesses and job seekers. MNWB is seeking proposals from interested parties to provide services to job seekers and businesses in the following cities and towns: Arlington, Belmont, Burlington, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Revere, Somerville, Stoneham, Wakefield, Watertown, Wilmington, Winchester, Winthrop, and Woburn. The purpose of this solicitation is to select One-Stop Career Center operator(s) for the Metro North region to provide career and training services including funds from the U.S. Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other funds. There can be multiple operators.
MNWB seeks innovative service delivery proposals that meet the specifications that will be outlined in the RFP characterized by excellent customer service to individuals and businesses, collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement and demonstrated outcomes. Any governmental, not-for-profit, educational institution or for-profit entity properly operating in accordance with Federal, State, and local law may submit a proposal for consideration. Minority-owned and women-owned businesses/organizations are encouraged to apply.
The RFP is tentatively scheduled to be released Monday, November 4, 2019 and posted on the MNWB website https://masshiremetronorth.org/). In conjunction with the release of this RFP, a Bidders’ Conference is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 2019 via webinar. Check the MNWB website for confirmation and updates.
