Eric Lance Youngblood

Scientific Systems Contract Manager

Eric Lance Youngblood, 56, of Everett passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, April 13.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Joan A. (Parsons) Youngblood of Fairhaven and the late Julian E. T. Youngblood, Jr., he was raised in New Bedford and has lived in Everett for the past 20 years.

He was a graduate of New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and a Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law.

In earlier years, he worked for Cape and Islands Architects in the areas of surveying and drawing. Most recently he worked as a contracts manager for Scientific Systems in Woburn from 2005-2019.

Eric loved to travel and enjoyed watching all New England sports teams. He was a life-long supporter of Tremont Advent Christian Campground-TACCA, where he formed many lasting friendships.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his siblings: Julian E.T. “Kip” Youngblood III and his wife, Elizabeth Pope, Adele Landers and Mark Youngblood and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Bernard W. Youngblood.

Visiting hours were held on April 18, in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, April 19 in the funeral home.
