Everett Cultural Council Celebrates Grant Recipients

The Everett Cultural Council will be holding a reception to celebrate this year’s grant recipients for the cultural council grants. The council funded 32 separate projects for this year’s grant cycle, totaling more than $17,500 for arts, humanities, and science-based programs for the benefit of Everett residents.

Among the programs funded by the council this year are numerous library programs covering a wide range of subjects, a community art show called the Everett Community Art Walk that will be on display all across the city, a program to support the wellbeing of local homeless children with art music and play therapy, and the premiere of a cutting edge immersive theater project called “Join the Resistance!”

“One thing is for sure,” says Council Chair Karyn Alzayer, “The library is going to have some fantastic programming over the next year, and you’re not going to want to miss it.”

Members of the community are invited to come meet our grant recipients at our reception on Thursday, May 9, from 5-7PM at Village Bar and Grill on Norman Street.
