POP WARNER B ENDS SEASON

Dear Editor:

The Everett Crimson Tide Pop Warner B team had their season end with a playoff loss to the East Lynn Bulldogs at Everett’s Veterans Memorial Stadium. The boys never got their offense on track, and that proved fatal against the visitors whom they had previously beaten in the first week.

Head coach Cataldo Kidd and offensive coordinator Matty Caffarella tried all they could, but nothing clicked that day. Special accolades go to Team Mother Ann Marie Kidd who once again did a fabulous job coordinating practices and game information with the players, coaches and parents. Her attention to detail was impeccable.

I would also like to thank the team for allowing me the privilege of being the team manager and helping prepare the boys before every practice and game and also to write of their gridiron exploits. The following lines are a personal note from Chuck Leo. I would like to thank my team and my coaches for a great year. I had a lot of fun this year which was also my final year of coaching. I want to thank all the boys who played for me and all the friends I made on the football field but after 35 years on the sideline it is getting harder physically to do the things needed to coach football. I will still be with the organization but only in a board position. Again thank you all for so many great memories,

Coach Chuck
