Charles Savage

Retired Everett Police Lieutenant

Charles W. Savage of the Everett Police Department and a longtime Everett resident, passed away on July 23 at 87 years old.

He was a US Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, a longtime Everett Police officer retiring as a lieutenant in 1994,  a member and PER of the Everett Lodge of Elks and a former Everett Veteran’s Administrator.

The beloved husband of Jean (Lee) Savage, he was the loving father of Paul Savage and his wife, Jeanne of Florida, Linda Fuller and her husband, James of Danvers, Debra McIntyre and her husband, Bruce of Saugus, Glenn Savage and his wife, Robin of Everett and Gary Savage of Everett; loving brother of Richard Savage of Arizona and the late Chester, Lester, Harry, Eddie Savage, Mildred Hagerty, Alice Cole, and Christine McGonagle..He is also survived by eight cherished grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to     the JF Ward Funeral Home, Everett. Services concluded with military honors in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett. In Charlie’s memory, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital PO Box 1000 Depart 142, Memphis, TN 38101.

Nicola ‘Nick’ D’Alleva

A founding father of the Sons of Orsogna Club

Nicola “Nick” D’Alleva of Everett died on July 25.

Nick was a longtime member of Local #22 and a Founding Father of the Sons of Orsogna Club.

He was the beloved husband of the late Assunta “Sue” (Ciancio), father of Maria Lombardi and her late husband, Carl A., Jr. of North Reading, Anna Celata and her husband, Anthony of North Reading, Nicholas and his wife, Emma of Peabody and the late Anthony; brother of Domenic of Wilmington, the late Micheala and Rocco and is also survived by six grandchildren: Melissa and her husband, Chad, Carl and his wife, Katie, Maria and her husband, Michael, Anthony, Nico and Daniela; four great-grandchildren; Dylan, Mia, Jacob and Grace and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Entombment was in the Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. D’Alleva’s memory may be made to the Sons of Orsogna Club, 316 Main St., Everett, MA 02149.
