Two Everett High School seniors were honored as All-Scholastics for their performances during the 2017-18 season.
Ghared Boyce was named to the Boston Globe All-Scholastic Super Team and the Boston Herald Dream Team while Isaiah Likely was named to the Globe All-Scholastic Team.
The 6-foot-1-inch Boyce averaged 28 points per game this season and was voted the Northeastern Conference’s Most Valuable Player. He will attend prep school in the fall.
The 6-foot-5-inch Likely had an outstanding season as the Crimson Tide’s point guard while finishing among the league leaders in assists in rebounds. A member of the school’s 2017 Super Bowl championship team, Likely will be playing football at Coastal Carolina.
The Everett boys basketball team completed its inaugural season in the Northeastern Conference with a perfect 15-0 record. The Tide (23-2) won the Division 1 North sectional title before falling to eventual state champion Mansfield in the state semifinals at the TD Garden.
Willcox transfers to Milton Academy
Everett High’s All-Scholastic junior quarterback Jake Willcox has reportedly transferred to Milton Academy.
Willcox, who helped lead the Crimson Tide to the Division 1 Super Bowl title in December while emerging as one of the best quarterbacks in Massachusetts, announced his intention Monday on his Twitter account.
