Charles Puleo

Of Everett

Charles Puleo of Everett died on April 9.

The beloved husband of the late Antonietta, he was the beloved father of Robert Charles and his wife, Jodi of Indiana and Mark Philip and his wife, Catherine of Florida. He is also survived by his loving brother Jack Puleo of Brooksville, Florida; six loving grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St, Everett on Thursday, April 13. Services will commence in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. preceded by a wake service from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Josephine Trufant

Loving mother of three sets of twins grandmother and great grandmother

Josephine A. (Perry) Trufant, a lifelong resident of Everett, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 5 in the Massachustts General Hospital. She was 95 years old.

Born in Chelsea, Josephine worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company as a clerk and also worked as a packer for Schraffts’ Candy Company in Charlestown. Josephine loved social events. She would never be the one not wanting to go to a bridal shower, wedding, birthday party, Baptism, or any other function. If something was happening, she was in. Josephine and her husband, Ralph were avid ballroom dancers. They would search out dance venues to satisfy their love of dancing.

The daughter of the late Manuel T. Perry and Mary Santos, she was the beloved wife of Ralph S. Trufant for over 70 years; proud mother of seven children, including three sets of twins: Dolores Baronas and her husband, Julius of Rockland, Christine Trufant of Everett, Robert Trufant and his late wife, Paula of N. Attleboro, Richard Trufant and his wife, Marguerite of Peabody, Joan Paradis and her husband, Charles of Arizona, Joyce Tilley and her husband, Douglas of Arizona and Doreen Kennedy and her husband, William of Hanson. She was the sister of the late Herbert, Albert and George Perry and Clara Swanson. Josephine is also survived by 11 loving grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Josephine’s memory to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, 251 18th S., Ste.630, Arlington, VA, 22202, would be sincerely appreciated.

Elizabeth Mary Bryant

Died one day before her 28th birthday

Elizabeth Mary Bryant of Revere entered into rest on Monday, March 20, one day prior to her 28th birthday in the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston.

Born in Boston, Elizabeth lived in Everett for many years before settling in Revere with her family. She was an activities director working in a local nursing home. She also worked as a secretary with Bryant Properties.

She was the beloved daughter of Patricia “Tricia” (Simonelli) and the late Joseph E. Bryant of Revere; dear and devoted sister of Heather Lea Bryant-Cohane and her husband, Brandon of Everett and loving fiance’ of Nicholas Lajoie. Elizabeth is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brandon Russo

US Postal Service employee

Brandon Russo of Peabody, formerly of Everett, died on April 3.

A graduate of Everett High School, Brandon was a letter carrier for the US Post Office and a member of the Italian Citizens Club.

He was the beloved husband of Wendy (Primoff); son of late Brandon and Frances (Rescigno) and brother of Edward and his wife, Jean, John and his wife, Patricia, Frank and his wife, Rosie and Marie Pereira and her husband, Robert. His is also survived by seven nephews and two nieces.

Joyce McGahey

Gardening enthusiast

Joyce M. (Donahue) McGahey peacefully passed away on April 4 with her family by her side. She was 70 years old.

Joyce, who was one of nine children raised in Medford, loved to garden, always having many plants around her and taking pride in her flowerbeds and roses.

She was the beloved wife of the late James M. McGahey Sr.; beloved daughter to Peter B. and Marie E. (Babin) Donahue; the beloved mother of Deborah Giannetto and her husband William, James M. McGahey Jr. and his wife Stephenie, Thomas A. McGahey and his wife, Kerry and Peter J. McGahey and his wife, Breanne. She leaves nine beloved grandchildren: Robert, Michael, Jamee, Katherine, Thomas, Jacob, Moira, Nathaniel and John. She was the loving sister of Jean Gear, Mary Lou DeBenedictis, Thomas, Leo, and Joseph Donahue, Deb Falco and the late Ann Balian and Edward Donahue. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
