Daisey Eileen Flurry

Homemaker and Bradlee’s retiree

Daisy Eileen (Patten) Flurry of Everett passed away November 24 at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere surrounded by her loving family. She was 83 years old.

Born in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel (Porter) Patten, Daisy graduated from Revere High School, Class of 1950. She was a homemaker and care giver to her family and her home and was also a sales associate for the former Bradlee’s Department Store in Chelsea. She dedicated 20 years of service before retiring in 1990.

 Daisy has been residing in Everett for the past 59 years and was a member of the Parkway Assembly of God Church in Revere.

She was the beloved wife of Felix A. Flurry with whom she shared 61 years of marriage; devoted mother of Eileen Fisher and her husband, William of Mississippi and James A. Flurry and his wife, Patricia of Revere; dear sister of Ina Pottle of New Hampshire and the late Audrey Taylor; sister-in-law of the late George Pottle and Edward Taylor. She is also lovingly survived by four grandchildren: Stephanie A. Fisher of Mississippi, James A. Flurry, Jr. of Lynn, Elizabeth M. Flurry and Joseph M. Flurry, both of Revere and two great grandchildren, Emma P. Flurry and Alexander R. Flurry, both of Lynn.

Funeral arrangements were by the Carafa Family Funeral Home, Chelsea.  Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

Ralph Memmolo, Jr.

Member of Everett Knights of Columbus and many other organizations; former leader of Troop 20 BSA, Everett

Ralph W. Memmolo, Jr. of Everett entered into rest on November 25 in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford. He was 86 years old.

Born in East Boston, he lived in Everett for most of his life and retired from the Biagi Ravioli Company in the North End of Boston where he worked for over 20 years. He was a member of the Everett Knights of Columbus, #97, The Order of Alhambra El Nazir Caravan #132, St. Pius X 4th Degree and former Troop Leader of Troop 20 BSA, Everett and a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict.

 The beloved son of the late Ralph W. and Nellie (Sacco) Memmolo, he was the dear and devoted brother of the late Br. Louis P. Memmolo, CSC, Marie A. Memmolo and Joseph F. Memmolo; loving uncle of Ann and Michael Hanlon and Barbara and Peter Roketenetz and great-uncle of Andrew Hanlon and Jonathan and Elyssa Roketenetz.

Funeral arrangements were by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ralph’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., Framingham, MA , 01701, would be sincerely appreciated.

Marie Bontempo

Her overwhelming generosity and crazy sense of humor will be greatly missed

Marie (Kaminski) Bontempo of Boston passed away on November 20. She was 65 years old,

Marie grew up in Everett and was a longtime resident of Boston.

Anyone who knew Marie, appreciated her crazy sense of humor and her overwhelming generosity.  She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Murphy of Florida; her sisters, Jo Brencola and her husband, Tony of Florida and Jane Kaminski of Revere; her brothers, Mark Kaminski and his wife, Goldie of North Attleboro and Shawn Murphy and his wife, Pat of Foxboro. She was also the loving aunt of Tom O’Loughlin, Mark Kaminski, Jr., Ashley Kaminski Gilpatric and Laura Murphy Badessa, as well as great aunt to Keira O’Loughlin, and Holly and Tiffani Gilpatric.

Donations in her memory would be welcomed at the American Cancer Society.
