Pauline Fritz

Took great pride in her family

Pauline (McCormick) Fritz of Everett passed away at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on June 7. She was 76 years old.

Pauline was born in Boston on January 26, 1939, one of 11 children of the late James and Mary (Southwell) McCormick. She was raised in Everett and attended the Immaculate Conception Grammar School and Everett High School.

Pauline and John were married on June 5, 1960 and they just shared their 55th wedding anniversary living on Reed Avenue.. They have been life-long Everett residents.

Pauline stayed at home to raise her five children. She loved to cook and loved having her family for Sunday dinners. She had great pride in her family and found great joy and delight in hearing about their lives and accomplishments, especially over Sunday dinner. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and a true and avid sports fan. She was the wife of John A. Fritz and loving mother of John Jr. and his wife, Kelly of Everett, Diane Galvin and her husband, Robert of Waltham, Patricia Fritz of Everett, Robert and his wife, Stacey of Saugus, Kevin and his wife, Nicole of Everett  and the late Colleen Fritz.  She was the sister of John and his wife, Louise McCormick of East Boston and sister/ cousin of Elizabeth Carr and the late Paul and his surviving wife, Judy, Jim, Donald, Geraldine Doherty, Dorothy Hughes, Frank, James, Gerald and his surviving wife, Magda and Mary Frye; the grandmother of Ashley Sordello, Michael Sordello, John “JT” Fritz, Kevin Fritz Jr, Kolleen Fritz, Mikayla Galvin, Robert “Bo” Galvin III and Scout.

Her Funeral  will be held from The Murphy O’Hara Funeral Home, 519 Broadway, Everett on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Frederick Goodrich

Of Chelsea

Frederick H. Goodrich of Chelsea passed away on June 1. He was 79 years old.

Born in Chelsea, he was the son of the Charles E. and Elizabeth (Levy) Goodrich; father of Frederick “Buddy” Goodrich, Jr., Michael Goodrich, Anna Gricci-Goodrich, and Wayne Goodrich; brother of Joseph, Richard “Ditchie”, Rita, Albert, and the late Charles, Henry, William, Amelia “Sissy”, and Helen. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
