New Date Set for Shute Library Grand Re-Opening

Mayor Carlo DeMaria would like to invite all residents to the Grand Re-Opening of the newly renovated Shute Memorial Library on Thursday, May 7 at 6:00PM.

The event will begin promptly at 6PM with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the entrance to the library, followed by a speaking portion and a reception inside the newly renovated facility. In addition, tours will be available, as well as valet parking.

The Shute Library renovation project began in the fall of 2013.  The new state-of-art facility offers not only a renovated building, but also expanded resources, state of the art equipment, and handicap accessibility. It will be a main attraction for the City, serving as Everett students, residents, and families.

“Together we are making our City a better place to live, work and play,” states Mayor DeMaria, “Preserving our assets, such as this historic building, is not only important for our City’s history, but also its future.  It is my goal to provide as many resources and services to our residents as possible.”
