CHA to Double Exam Space

In response to the rising demand for health services in communities north of Boston, Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) has launched an initiative to grow its primary care services in Everett, Malden, and Revere.

Work is underway at CHA’s Everett, Malden, and Revere Care Centers to expand office and exam space, and 15 new physicians and provider staff have been recruited across the three sites to increase access to primary care in 2015.

Expansion at the CHA Everett Care Center, located at 391 Broadway, will increase exam rooms, more than doubling the patient care capacity. Additionally, the center will gain new lab space and a brand-new reception/registration area.

Plans for the CHA Revere Care Center, located at 454 Broadway, also call for a significant addition of exam rooms to accommodate the need for more primary care access to patients of all ages in the region. Construction for both sites is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2015.

CHA plays a critical role in providing high-quality care for communities north of Boston, with particular expertise in linguistic and culturally competent care for patients with chronic health conditions and vulnerable populations who experience barriers to care. CHA conducts extensive community outreach efforts and actively engages with coalitions and community groups in the region to develop innovative programs that reduce barriers to care.

“CHA has long been recognized for outstanding primary care services, earning national recognition for our team-based care and use of electronic health records,” said Assaad Sayah, MD, CHA’s chief medical officer. “Growing primary care in Everett, Malden, and Revere enables us to offer our expertise to more patients, giving local individuals and families the care they need and deserve.”
