Alexander Joslin Boudreau, Jr.
Retired Design Engineer and Strong Family Man
God received an extra special angel, on Monday, July 21 at 3:07 p.m. when Alexander Joslin Boudreau, Jr. passed from this life surrounded by his loving family. He was 78 years old.
Born on January 22, 1936 in Everett, the son of the late Alexander Joslin and Marion Elizebeth (McLaughlin) Boudreau, Sr., Alexander was a 1954 graduate of Everett Vocational High School. He was a successful business owner and retired after 45 years as a Design Engineer at ITW Sexton Can Company in Martinsburg, WV.
He was a strong family man who strived to keep family ties strong and had an extraordinary personality which endeared him to people. He was loved by all. He will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.
He is survived by his former spouse, Helen A. Boudreau of Everett; two sons, Alexander J. Boudreau of Ranson, WV, and Enrico J. Boudreau of Myrtle Beach, SC; three daughters, Susan A. Boudreau of Martinsburg, WV, Linda Gianatasio of Chelsea, and Kellie Boudreau of Boston, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters: Shirley Seaman, Doris West, Irene Iwanicki, and Marion Hannaford and by two great-grandchildren, Benteley Morris and Jason White.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Queens Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401 on Saturday, July 26 officiated by Fr. R. Eric Hall, IV. Arrangements were entrusted to Rosedale Funeral Home, 917 Cemetery Road, Martinsburg, WV. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430. Emelda ‘Mel’ McDonough
Retiree of Margaret Howell, Inc.
Emelda O. “Mel” (LeBlanc) McDonough of Everett passed away on July 21 at Middlewoods Assisted Living in Newington, CT. She was 96 years old.
Prior to her retirement, Mel was a longtime employee of the function company, Margaret Howell, Inc.
Born in Digby County, Nova Scotia, she was the beloved wife of the late Arthur McDonough. She was also predeceased by her sister Bertha Veitch and dear friend Joe Murphy. She was the loving aunt of Joan and her husband, David Glendinning of Milton, FL, and Irene and he husband, George Roushon of Wethersfield, CT and is also survived by her niece and nephews: Aurora and John Maya, Christopher and Shani Hinton-Miller, Darius and Amanda Miller Gibson, Bibianna Miller, Kathy and Ralph Gonzalez, Peter and Alicia Roushon, and her great nieces and nephews: Tony Maya and his wife, Merianna, Monica Maya Genik and her husband, Michael, Arianna, Nate and Nick Gonzalez, Penelope and Peter Roushon, Addie and Rena Hinton Miller, Calais and Sonja Gibson Miller. Mel also leaves her many friends at Middlewoods.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral from the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Tuesday, Aug 5 at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett, at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
Mel’s family would like to thank the staff at Middlewoods for their respectful, caring attitudes. Mel was active, comfortable, and happy living there.
