4th Annual ‘Taste of the Towns’ October 10: Local “Champions for Children” to Be Honored at Gala Event

The Joint Committee for Children’s Health Care in Everett (JCCHCE) has announced its plans for the Fourth Annual Taste of the Towns fundraiser event this year and its Champions of Children honorees.

The popular Taste of the Towns event will be held on Thursday, October 10 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Hilltop Steak House on Route 1 in Saugus. Tickets to the event, which features food from area restaurants in a sampling stations arrangement, are just $30 and only 250 tickets will be sold for the event.

The evening will also feature the JCCHCE’s recognition of this year’s Champions of Children in Everett.

The honorees this year include Elizabeth Jones of the Everett Co-Operative Bank, Deborah Kneelan Keegan, Executive Director of the For Kids Only After School Program and Assistant Superintendent of Everett Public Schools Thomas Stella.

The three selected Champions of Children are being honored for their work and contributions on behalf of the health and well-being of children and families in the city of Everett.

The JCCHCE is a not-for-profit organization that provides services to those in need of quality, affordable health care and has been designated as one of 10 organizations in Massachusetts that is considered a Navigator of the Affordable Care Act.

As a not-for-profit, the JCCHCE sustains its services solely through contributions and donations and fundraiser events such as the Taste of the Towns.
